Kimchi Fried Rice

2 tsp vegetable oil

3 cups cooked rice

1 cup or more chopped kimchi (or kimchi-style sautéed cabbage)

1/2 cup water

2-3 T gochujang sauce

1 T sesame oil

1 chopped scallion (optional)

1 egg

Saute kimchi in 1 teaspoon vegetable oil for about 1 minute. Add everything else and cook 7-9 minutes.

All measurements are approximate.

Fry egg in separate pan and serve on top of the fried rice.


For 4 cups rice:

1-1/3 tsp vegetable oil

1-1/3 cups or more chopped kimchi (or kimchi-style sautéed cabbage)

2/3 cups water

3-4 T gochujang sauce

1-1/3 T sesame oil

1 chopped scallion (optional)

1 or 2 eggs
