4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1 stick butter or margarine
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1-1/2 cup sugar
6 T matzo cake flour, sifted (or 6 T potato starch **)
pinch of salt
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 325. Grease 8” square pan. Melt together chocolate and butter and cool (may be done in microwave or double boiler). Beat eggs and add sugar slowly. Do not overbeat. Add cooled chocolate mixture and mix well. Add cake flour and salt and mix well. Add nuts, if desired. Pour into pan and bake 30 minutes. They will be moist and very tasty.
** using potato starch makes this recipe gluten free
Recipe may be doubled and baked into 9”x11” pan.
